The Knights Templar is one of the earliest and most famous of the European Christian military order of Knights who grew into one of the most powerful organizations in the medieval world.

Their warriors wore over their armor distinctive white mantles emblazed with a red cross, developed a reputation for their fighting prowess, discipline and tenacity and the order’s Knights swore total, unquestioning obedience to their leaders.
